Pageboy Salon
“Uniting impeccable vintage style with innovative salon techniques, Pageboy brought an entirely new salon concept to Athens, GA” - and we brought it to you! Young Athenians designed the Pageboy brand in it’s entirety. Designed & built for an out of work friend, we choose the space, handled logistics, brought in furniture from home, bought a dryer chair, and created the logo, the menu, the copy-writing, the web site, the interior, the paint, the plants, … even the LLC papers. We brought Pageboy to business and to life.
This identity was built with love for our friend at Pageboy Salon, a rare gem set in Athens, GA's, personal care and fashion scene. This project was one of our first forays into environmental design, which we performed with no construction assistance other than the stylists who were putting in their own sweat investment. Young Athenians chose everything for Pageboy, from writing the business copy, creating price lists, to choosing the colors, sourcing furniture, installing the signage, organizing subcontractor logistics, painting and refinishing the 19th c. wood surfaces and plaster walls, to filling the shampoo room with tropical plants. All the photography for the site was photographed behind the Young Athenians studio garden to add to the lusciousness of the brand. Social marketing was key to helping this new salon along, so we built the website to feed out to Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Making a salon for the digital age also involved building in a 24 hour booking system and customizing it to fit the needs of Pageboy staff.
Along the way, we came up with a solution for the disused back room facing a noisy bar patio. A gentlemen's only barbershop! We aptly named it Pageman Barber Co. and built a witty website about a room where men can be men and enjoy a Mid-Century American version of the English Gentlemen's Club. After the website was presented Pageman Barber Co became a profitable new reality.
Over the years we redesigned the Pageboy site several times to keep up with the latest trends, and slowly but surely, the Pageboy staff has mastered the site and can now update it without further tutelage. We are proud of the business brand we built for our dear friend. This was hundreds of hours in the making and we used every spare moment and scrap of energy to create it for them.

PAGEMAN BARBER CO. was born out of our desire to achieve the way things should be by recreating the way things used to be. PAGEMAN, the Athens, Georgia original, was created for the modern man who wants cutting edge services in an environment tailored to him. The decor will quickly transport your imagination back in time to an era before most of us were born, a place where your grandfather might frequent. PAGEMAN caters to the Ernest Hemingways and Norman Mailers of today. A laid-back gentleman with a distinctive personal style.
Conveniently located across from the UGA Arches, PAGEMAN services all the walk in gentlemen of Downtown Athens. Just mosey upstairs from Walker’s Pub and make your way through to the private entrance at the back of PAGEBOY Salon.
We feel that by popping in or lounging in the waiting area for a haircut provides an old fashioned way to converse and build community and camaraderie as well as provide spontaneous convenience to our family of customers in need of “a little off the top.”
The services at PAGEMAN are offered a la cart, so you can easily get in and out with a beard trim or stay for a little longer and get a hot shave and a cut.

Charcoal Facial
Something new to add to your repertoire. For this service a warm charcoal masque is applied to the skin and neck. Once the masque has set, it is removed to provide a deep cleanse and exfoliation. The service is finished with hot towels, aromatic oils and facial massage.
