Creature Comforts Brewing Co.
CREATURE COMFORTS is a growing, independent brewery in Athens, Georgia. CREATURE COMFORTS puts care and attention towards making several different types of beer for the local community and surrounding markets.
I love my city and was so excited that a brewery was under construction up the street from my studio. I was beyond thrilled when they called upon me to build out their online identity and product designs, and the fruits of my creative partnership with CREATURE COMFORTS has flourished ever since. I created the core can template and over a dozen individual can product designs for CREATURE COMFORTS in a trade dress style that boosts immediate brand recognition, but also balances that brand uniformity with an illustrative identity for each offering.
The website needed to be dense. The press hype amassing was palpable. Honing my years of experience in a NYC PR firm, I built a knowledge base that could meet the thirst of brewery fans and hovering journalists and bloggers. I wrote and designed an online identity and CSS type template that the brewers could take over and run themselves without breaking the styles. My typography design for the website and an anniversary poster have gone on to become the brand’s core typography and are used through out their advertising and merchandising.
My work for CREATURE COMFORTS has been reproduced world wide and has amassed a celebrity fan base. RUN THE JEWELS proudly collaborated with CREATURE COMFORTS and I was ecstatic when asked to design it. Most recently two of their cans TROPICALIA® and ATHENA® were featured in MARVEL’ s THOR & AVENGERS: ENDGAME Films and after a world wide hype storm the RUSSO BROTHERS are collaborating on a new CCBC brewery in Los Angeles. I am proud to have built the trade dress and core graphic identity of CREATURE COMFORTS BREWING CO. and so proud of the amazing reach my artwork has achieved. I’m even more proud of the contributions CREATURE COMFORTS has made to my community. Athens is a stronger city thanks to CREATURE COMFORTS.
