CLASSIC CITY LAGER®
Classic City Lager is a clean, crisp, and easy-drinking lager with an ABV of 4.2%. The beer is brewed to be a highly drinkable lager that can serve as both an entry into craft beer for new consumers as well as a staple product in the fridge for those who love craft beer and sometimes want an uncomplicated, simple, and delicious lager.
“Clean, crisp”, “good cold beer” were early copy ideas. They are a nod to our love of classic American beers that promise realistic expectations; ex. getting a cold one after a hard day’s work. The moniker Classic City is a nod to Athens, Georgia’s tagline - Classic City. My graphic “good cold beer” pulled from an early draft of the can is now an in-demand line of merch and “A Clean, Crisp, Easy Drinking Lager” became the official sub tagline. I was happy to bring the brewery chalk artist, Chris Collins, in at the 9th hour to bring some funk and authenticity to the Classic City Lager script.
